What kind of learning experiences will my child have at Honey Bear?
We provide the children with necessary skills needed for Kindergarten and beyond and allow them to create their own preschool educational experiences.

Our curriculum model is Creative Curriculum. To plan experiences and monitor the children’s growth, teachers develop Learning Experience Plans (LEP’s) utilizing the Connecticut Preschool Curriculum Framework (PCF) and the Connecticut Preschool Assessment Framework (PAF). These are foundational systems that outline Connecticut’s Preschool Learning Standards and Outcomes according to four domains: Personal and Social, Physical, Cognitive and Creative Development.

Our teachers use the on-going cycle of The Intentional Teaching Process where Connecticut’s Preschool Learning Standards and Outcomes are intentionally planned for, implemented, observed and assessed in our weekly and bi-weekly LEP’s which are formulated on the basis of children’s interests and needs, both as a group and individually. For more information on PCF, PAF and the CT Standards, please see our Family Resources page.
